On this 43rd trip to The Circus we are joined by LeMar McClean, Tarik Davis, and Don Hooper, creators of the “race-based horror short” Page One as well as the Brothers From Another Planet podcast, Comedy People’s Time improv show, and much more. On this episode they talk to Sean and Nicole about making Page One, the origins of its protagonist Abel Worthy (a black actor who can only get cast as the first guy who gets killed in horror movies), surprising contributors to their crowdfunding campaign, “embracing chaos” on set, screening the film in genre and other contexts, and how the recent success of Get Out has affected the reception of this long-germinating project. We close with a game of Uncle Sean’s Planets Trivia.
